Fifteen artists use water, land, food and sound as materials to explore how these forces shape bodies, places and time.

Curated by Julio César Morales to launch a cross-generational, cross-disciplinary initiative at SoEx, the show brings together sculpture, installation, performance, photography, video and sound work that treats water, land, food and noise as living forces rather than backdrops.

Pieces range from Almanza-Pereda’s precarious sculptures built from unstable liquids and materials to SUPERFLEX’s cinematic video of a flooded McDonald’s, Greta Alfaro’s staged photographs of beauty and decay, and Hughen/Starkweather’s research into climate disruption at the edges where water meets land.
