Mel Prest and Andrew Kleindolph

An installation pairing Mel Prest’s color-mesh paintings with Andrew Kleindolph’s illuminated and electronic sculptures.

Prest and Kleindolph, a San Francisco couple with long parallel practices, combine Prest’s hand-painted pathways of line and color, in small works and room-filling ones, with Kleindolph’s folded-metal and mixed-media tabletop sculptures, LED pieces and internet-connected sculptures that change from time to time.

The front window holds a site-specific wall painting by Prest and Kleindolph’s electronic sculptures on the floor. Prest uses fluorescent and metallic paint and mica that shift in different light.
