Eighteen painted loading-dock bays along an outdoor corridor cycle through sunrise, sunset, moon and bay water as visitors walk past.

A mural commission for the passageway between Fort Mason’s Buildings B and C, treating each of eighteen loading-dock bays as a separate frame: as viewers walk through, the painted sequence shifts from sunrise to sunset, sun to moon, sky to sea, echoing the Bay’s light and tides.

Marking Fort Mason Center’s 50th year as a nonprofit, the project follows Rosenberg’s commissions for SFMOMA, SFO and the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art; daylight and fog continually redraw the colors as shadows move across the painted walls.
