New resin panels by the Phoenix artist, embedding seedpods, branches, bones and dried flowers in layered color.

Kratz gathers seedpods, branches, bones and other remnants around Phoenix and in the desert, then sets them in layers of tinted resin sanded to a matte finish. The title comes from a Wendell Berry poem, and the Dark Garden series draws on her childhood memories of nightfall.

Several pieces were made after emergency surgery and a long recovery, and light plays a larger part in them. This is her fourth solo show at the gallery.
