Oil paintings of boats, cityscapes and countryside built from layered shapes and luminous color, by San Francisco painter Siddharth Parasnis.
Parasnis paints in oil on canvas, layering shapes and regions of color from turquoise to coral to brick-red. Calm scenes such as boats in shallow water, beach days and cityscapes are drawn from places in his life and travels, and sharpened by angular forms.
He fixes each painting’s color harmony in a single session, then may keep working for months or years. The show follows his 2025 solo, Visual Poetry, at the gallery.
