Claude NoriLa Dolce Vista
Sep 11 – Oct 31, 2026 Marais
A retrospective of Claude Nori’s black-and-white and color photographs of couples, teenagers and beach life, shot since the 1970s.
Nori’s first major gallery retrospective, fifteen years after a tribute at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, brings together iconic black-and-white and color prints alongside previously unseen images found in a fresh look at his contact sheets from the 1970s onward. Couples embrace, bodies brush past each other, and friends pose awkwardly or joyfully on beaches from the Adriatic to the Basque coast, in settings shaped by his love of neorealist and New Wave cinema and by the photo-novel.
The black-and-white prints are made the traditional way, enlarger-printed on gelatin silver paper; many are drawn from Nori’s own archive and exhibited here for the first time.
