Warhol, Basquiat, Haring. Une amitié artistique

Opera Gallery

Oct 16 – Nov 18, 2026 Faubourg Saint-Honoré

Opening soon

Paintings and works on paper by Warhol, Basquiat and Haring, tracing their overlapping paths in 1980s New York.

The show follows three artists who met in early 1980s New York, where graffiti, hip-hop and underground club culture blurred the line between fine art and popular culture. Warhol appears as the catalyst, Basquiat as the graffiti writer turned painter, and Haring as the artist who made the city’s streets and subways his canvas.

Selected works include a silkscreen canvas by Warhol from 1979, Haring’s Sumi ink drawings TV Dog and The Lovers, and Basquiat’s oilstick drawing Batman. The text also recalls the four-handed canvases Basquiat made with Warhol.
