Pastel drawings of the rocky coast and pines of the Bay of Porto Vecchio in Corsica, where Verdier has spent a few weeks every year for two decades.

Verdier sails along the coast almost daily during her stays and draws its headlands, coves and gnarled pines in dry pastel for the rock and oil pastel for the trees, with a plain collage of blue paper standing in for the flat sea. The drawings, titled Pineta, été 2023, hang in the gallery’s bookstore.
