Photographs by Gerard Malanga of the artists, musicians and writers around Andy Warhol’s Factory and the 1960s–70s New York scene.
A selection of photographs by the poet, filmmaker and Factory insider Gerard Malanga, who met Warhol in 1963. His subjects include Warhol, William S. Burroughs, Mick Jagger, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Patti Smith and Candy Darling, caught as friends rather than icons.
Malanga’s prints were first shown at the gallery in 2004 in the group show Bande à Part. This presentation is made in partnership with the Collection Bel Œil, Nice.
