Two centuries of photography drawn from the gallery’s reserves, with a focus on African photography, marking Baudoin Lebon’s fifty years as dealer.
The show traces the history of photography over 200 years through works from the gallery’s own holdings, with particular attention to African photography, including its latest acquisition. It also recounts Baudoin Lebon’s five decades as gallerist and art dealer.
It is held at La Chapelle de Clairefontaine, in Clairefontaine-en-Yvelines, not at the Paris gallery, and celebrates the venue’s tenth anniversary. It is linked to two other shows in Rambouillet and Vaux de Cernay and carries the Bicentenary of Photography label.
