Paintings, bronze sculptures, works on paper and masks tracing Carrington’s lifelong vision of myth, alchemy and hybrid creatures.

This is Carrington’s first solo show with the gallery, organized with the Consejo Leonora Carrington and rossogranada, bringing together paintings, bronze sculptures, works on paper and masks from across her career.

Dragons, hyenas, horses and other hybrid creatures recur throughout, reflecting her interest in alchemy, tarot and Celtic and Mesoamerican myth after she settled in Mexico in 1942. On view are the paintings The Lovers (1987) and El Laberinto (1991), alongside late bronzes she modeled in wax and plasticine up to her final days.
