New large-scale paintings, sculptural pillars and small ceramics exploring borders between one area, or environment, and the next.

Bley paints with canvases laid flat on the floor, using spray paint, marbling, oil and acrylic, and applying salt, snow and ice so that melting determines the final form. Colour pools and thins within shapes that press toward the canvas edge without crossing it.

Sculptural pillars echo the gallery’s architecture, while palm-sized ceramics cling to them and scatter across the floor. It is Bley’s third solo show with the gallery.
