New paintings of tall, sloping figures in domestic interiors, performing the small ceremonies of everyday life: sitting in high-backed chairs, gathering around tables, holding amphorae, raising a glass. The title, from the Greek for “to place side by side”, is the show’s too: it is in two galleries at once.
