Ana Hoffner ex-Prvulovic*LA HALUCA – A PIONEER GIRL
From Oct 10, 2026 Mitte
A performance on the Jewish woman as pioneer, drawing on a text by Bosnian-Jewish writer Luna Laura Papo Bohoreta.
The performance takes up La Haluca (“The Pioneer Woman”), a historical text by Luna Laura Papo Bohoreta (1891–1942), in which Jewish self-determination and feminist emancipation meet in one projected figure. Through selected biographies of people widely known today, it turns attention to Jewish history in the Yugoslav region, a history overwritten by the Shoah, socialist Yugoslavia’s memory politics and the 1990s wars.
It is part of Projections Onto the East, a project by n.b.k. with the Schinkel Pavillon, conceived by Fabian Bechtle and Leon Kahane.
