Tanja OstojićENCOUNTERS — On Bodies, Borders, Resistance

A survey of 25 years of Tanja Ostojić’s performance, video, installation and conceptual work, with new productions.

This is the first large survey of the Berlin-based artist’s work in Germany. Ostojić, a pioneer of feminist and postmigrant art, has since the 1990s worked on migration, the politics of the body, gender relations and the way institutions exercise power and exclusion.

Central works from the past quarter century appear alongside new productions, many of them made in close collaboration with others. An artist talk, round table and workshop accompany the show, which is a cooperation with alpha nova & galerie futura.
