Cruz’s second solo show with the gallery: twelve paintings of shape-shifting figures in fairy-tale scenes, mixing unease with humor.

The paintings, among them Sprout (2026), Pollen and I Think She Likes You, read as scenes from a story with no fixed order, where bodies change form and ordinary places turn uncanny. Cruz borrows the Old Masters’ light, shadow and staging of figures, while digital distortion shapes the bodies, and mischief and absurdity run through the pictures.
