A group of sculpted figures by the London artist Kira Freije, built with fabric and found materials and absorbed in their own thoughts.

Freije, born in London in 1985 and shortlisted for this year’s Turner Prize, fills the Maschinenhaus M1 with a group of figurative sculptures. Fabric and found materials give the figures a layered, tactile surface; they seem bound to one another while each stays turned inward, and the stories they suggest are left open.
