A group show on rooms as stages, pairing a dozen photographers’ work with large prints of Helmut Newton’s staged interiors.

Each artist, among them Robert Polidori, Gregor Schneider, Viktoria Binschtok, Ricarda Roggan and Paolo Ventura, shows one body of work: empty studios and museum rooms, long exposures in which people vanish, Berlin and London subway tunnels, dance and theater. A sequel to the foundation’s 2019 show Body Performance.

In the main hall, wall-sized murals and Polaroids show Newton’s hotel lobbies, Monte Carlo streets and garage, and his 1983 theater photographs with Pina Bausch in Wuppertal for The New Yorker.
