»Reception« – Ein Community Space

The gallery’s entrance room, reimagined as an open neighborhood space with screenings, radio shows, concerts and workshops.

Alongside the exhibitions, the entrance room of Galerie Wedding becomes a “third place” between exhibition space, neighborhood meeting point and cultural laboratory. A changing program of screenings, radio broadcasts, concerts, workshops and education formats invites visitors to take part.

The project treats art as a social and memory-political practice, made with and for the neighborhood. The room was designed by Macla Valencia Carmona; events so far include a Queer Knitclub and concert evenings.
