Sol NamgungEverybody knows this is nowhere
Oct 9 – Nov 28, 2026 Mitte
Sixteen recent oil paintings of blurred, dreamlike landscapes, from small squares to large canvases.
Namgung’s second solo show with the gallery brings recent oil paintings of dreamlike landscapes, with mountains, sea, sky, sun and moon dissolving into blurred, minimal color fields. She paints without sketches or reference images, applying oil directly to bare canvas, and a single work can take two days or half a year.
The title comes from a painting in the show and from Neil Young’s 1969 album. An interview with the artist, in German and English, discusses music, her hometown Chuncheon, and Korean ink painting.
