# *Rex Ray* Sep 12 – Oct 31, 2026 · on view · Themes + Projects A survey of Rex Ray’s collages, resin panels and pigment prints made between 2000 and 2014. The show looks at the late work of the Bay Area artist, who died in 2015, through cut-and-pasted paper collages on canvas and wood panel, resin-coated panels and pigment prints. It stresses his bold color pairings and layered textures and forms, drawn from both fine art and graphic design. Themes+Projects first showed Ray in 2002, in its Palo Alto years. The exhibition, with Gallery 16, coincides with his retrospective at the Monterey Museum of Art and a second edition of his book We Are All Light.
