# *Jose Villalobos & Regina Saura* Two-person exhibition · Sep 25 – Oct 31, 2026 · on view Jose Villalobos and Regina Saura Abstract oil paintings by Jose Villalobos built from geometric forms, layered planes and dense pigment, shown with work by Regina Saura. The page covers only Villalobos’s half of the pairing. His large oils on canvas use geometric forms and layered planes, with thick pigment meant to hold light and build texture. They hint at architecture and landscape without depicting either. Villalobos, born in Oaxaca in 1950, trained as an architect before turning to painting. He last showed with the gallery in 2024, at its St. Helena space.
