Hand-carved wood furniture by Noah Cohen shown with woven blankets and textile wall works by Marina Contro.

The third Commune Shows, a collaboration between Commune Design and Blunk Space, pairs Los Angeles furniture maker Noah Cohen with San Francisco weaver Marina Contro. Both artists visited the Blunk House in Inverness, and the show takes up the dressing room ritual as its theme.

Cohen’s carved tables, blanket chest, vanity, mirrors and racks hold and frame Contro’s series of blankets and textile paintings, echoing the domestic scale of JB Blunk’s work.
