# *Più di mille parole. Immagini da L’Osservatore Romano*

From Sep 30, 2026 · on view · Pinacoteca, rooms XVII–XVIII

Photographs and illustrations from the Vatican’s daily newspaper, mostly from the years since a 2020 redesign gave pictures more room.

L’Osservatore Romano, founded in 1861, was redesigned in October 2020 to give images more weight, starting with the front page. The first part of the show gathers front-page photographs picked by a team of journalists led by Piero Di Domenicantonio and Gaetano Vallini, many of them dramatic, some chosen as stories of hope.

The second part shows the work of the cartoonists and illustrators who draw for the paper’s regular features.
