La grande trama. Il patrimonio culturale nell’era digitale

A survey of over sixty years of digital technology applied to Italian cultural heritage, from 1960s experiments to the Ecomic platform.

The show, organised by the Ministry of Culture’s digitisation bodies with the Museo Nazionale Romano, traces how computing has been used on Italy’s heritage since the 1960s. It ends with Ecomic, a digital ecosystem for culture, and the 23 digital products built with partner institutions under the national recovery plan: accessible catalogues, games, immersive narratives and tools for study and restoration.

Its thread is the Knowledge Graph, a network linking works, people, places and events across art, audiovisual, archival, library and archaeological collections. Visitors can follow these links to make their own route through the material.
