### Dayanita Singh: *Archivio*

Sep 25, 2026 – Jan 3, 2027 · on view

More than 350 photographs made in Italy and in Italian archives, arranged on sixteen freestanding wooden structures.

Singh’s show draws on a decade of work in Italian archives and on her own growing archive of pictures taken in Italy over twenty-five years: architecture, interiors, artworks, friends, archivists, flowers and places. Sixteen wooden structures, each holding twenty images, let the photographs be paired and rearranged, so the archive works as a living form.

Curated by Andrea Anastasio, the show comes from the Archivio di Stato in Venice and travels on to the MAO in Turin and to India. A catalogue from Electa is presented at the opening.

### Mouna Rebeiz: *L’indovino*

Sep 16 – Nov 29, 2026 · on view

An installation of twenty-two tarot major arcana on large mirrored surfaces, staged among the museum’s Etruscan antiquities.

Rebeiz first showed The Soothsayer at the 2022 Venice Biennale in the San Marino pavilion; here it is reworked for Villa Giulia. The mirrored cards reflect the visitor, and the piece draws on Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar and the Etruscan haruspex Spurinna, set against AI and symbolic tradition.

It fills the semicircular hall beside divination-related finds. In the Nymphaeum, a painting of more than sixteen metres, inspired by Vangelis’s Mythodea, accompanies a performance of painting and music. The route ends in the Zodiac room with panels on ecological transition. Curated by Roberta Semeraro.
