# Madalena Negrone: *Origine. La donazione Madalena Negrone*

Negrone’s abstract painting Origine (2025), newly donated to the museum, shown with six recent works seen here for the first time.

Origine, an oil on canvas of 160 by 180 cm, is a dense web of turquoise and blue marks that knot into concentric swirls. Beside it are Blue 5172, a canvas five meters wide, 44F Rosso e Nero and four works from the Egg series, all growing out of Negrone’s Entangled series, which starts from the idea of quantum entanglement.

Negrone, born in Genoa in 1982, works between Genoa and New York. The curator is Guicciardo Sassoli de Bianchi.
