The title is a line of Man Ray’s. His rayographs, solarisations, objects and paintings are shown with Thomas’s retroreflective works, in which a second image hidden in the surface appears under a flash, and his sculptures of gestures, clasped hands and a raised fist, made monumental in veined marble. Thomas first met Man Ray’s work as a photography student in New York. A second show under the same title runs at Continua’s gallery in San Gimignano until January 31, 2027.
