# *Gustave Fayet, Collectionneur – Créateur. Icônes de l’art moderne* Group exhibition · Oct 9, 2026 – Mar 8, 2027 · on view, just opened Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Odilon Redon, Gustave Fayet and others More than 250 works from Gustave Fayet’s long-dispersed collection, including Van Gogh, Gauguin and Redon, shown with hundreds of his own designs. The exhibition fills the whole building in two parts. Three floors reunite, for the first time in a century, works Fayet (1865–1925) once owned: 10 Van Goghs, 78 Gauguins and 86 Redons among them. Van Gogh’s Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear and Pipe is in France for the first time since 1937. The top floor shows 374 of Fayet’s own works, most never exhibited and newly restored: ceramics, watercolors on blotting paper, carpets, dresses and illustrated books. Sylvie Patry is chief curator; Robert Carsen designed the installation.
