## Exhibitions

### Raymond Hains: *L’œuvre en chantier. Du Grand Louvre aux 3 Cartier*

Jun 9 – Oct 26, 2026 · on view · Outdoors on the Place du Palais-Royal

Hains’s photographs of the Grand Louvre building site, set up again on the square in billboard frames for the centenary of his birth.

For the centenary of Raymond Hains (1926–2005), the foundation revives its 1994 show Du Grand Louvre aux 3 Cartier. On the Place du Palais-Royal, his pictures of the 1981–1991 Louvre works, with bent pipes, stacked slabs and hoardings turned into “sidewalk sculptures,” stand in advertising-panel structures near where they were taken.

A second part, in the Galerie Valois inside the Palais-Royal – Musée du Louvre métro station, closes Oct 4: reproductions and archives follow his puns on the name Cartier.

### Ibrahim Mahama: *Le Temps des récoltes*

Oct 22, 2026 – Feb 28, 2027 · coming up

- Fri, Oct 23, 2026: Evening concert by Osei Korankye, 7:30–10 pm
- Sat, Oct 24, 2026: Opening-weekend talks, 11 am–6:30 pm
- Sun, Oct 25, 2026: Talk with Michael Armitage, 5–6 pm

The Ghanaian artist’s first Paris exhibition fills the whole foundation with new installations and work by nine associated artists and collectives.

Mahama, born in Tamale in 1987, builds installations from collected materials, archives and industrial remains to look at Ghana’s colonial and postcolonial past. Things Fall Apart reconstructs a Ghanaian glass-bottle factory opened in 1966 from its original materials, and a new version of Parliament of Ghosts, a chamber of wooden Ashanti stools, hosts music, talks and performances throughout the show.

The associated artists include James Barnor, Gideon Appah, Zohra Opoku, Dorothy Akpene Amenuke and the Congolese plantation workers’ collective CATPC.
