Gianluca BaloccoAbandon Sight
A single installation of chromolithographic prints, light devices, video, sound, scent and eye-tracking works drawn from antique carpets.
Balocco, who exhibits as M.O.O.R., takes the antique tapestries and rugs of the Moshe Tabibnia Collection in Milan as his starting point, reworking their patterns into uncertain faces, cavities and figures. The show is a single installation, curated by Serena Tabacchi, for the gallery’s third floor.
It includes a slowly changing electronic canvas, prints whose colour shifts under lighting devices, a video with sound by RobinG, a scent by Fulco Abbate, and The4thDimension – Transland, an interactive work that tracks the viewer’s gaze, shown in this form for the first time in Italy.
