# Sharon Core: *Flowering* Oct 22 – Dec 19, 2026 · coming up - Thu, Oct 22, 2026: Opening reception, 6–8 pm Digital photographs of tulips, dahlias, poppies and other flowers from the artist’s garden, each against a stark white ground. Core photographs varieties she has grown herself, many rare and centuries old, at stages from first bloom to dried decline. Each plant is isolated on white and cropped close, so its silhouette shapes the composition. Folds of petal, water beads and insects remain visible. Made digitally, with a clinical, laboratory-like look unusual for her, the series grew out of her earlier project 1606–1907, a restaging of three centuries of floral painting.
