# Maia Ruth Lee: *Double Vision*

Sep 10 – Oct 24, 2026 · on view

New paintings, steel assemblages and a video installation treating migration as a split, doubled way of seeing and remembering.

Lee’s second solo show with the gallery takes its title from Homi K. Bhabha’s The Location of Culture. Across both gallery spaces, new paintings from her Bondage Baggage series treat the suitcase as a container for memory, and latex sculptures keep the shape of bound bundles that have been emptied.

A new video installation uses home movies her parents shot in Nepal and Korea, and she returns to her steel glyphs of 2019, salvaged fragments of New York buildings arranged like an alphabet no one can read.
