# Karon Davis: *Wishful Thinking*

New life-size nude sculptures body-cast from friends and models, reworking the classical figure to center the Black body.

Davis casts the bodies of friends, muses and models to make new life-size nude sculptures, arranged in tableaux that draw on mythology, theater and art from antiquity to today. The show takes on the classical nude and the long absence of the Black figure from the Western canon.
