# Torkwase Dyson: *Seeing in Blue* Sep 11 – Oct 24, 2026 · on view New paintings by Torkwase Dyson drawn from more than ten years of deep-sea diving, in watery blues rather than her usual dark palette. Dyson starts each canvas on the floor with pooled washes of translucent color, then builds curving geometric forms over them in drawing, shaped and painted wood, string and brass or bronze fittings; some are round. The paintings draw on notes, diagrams, photographs and poems from her dives, and on what lies below the sea’s surface, from seafloor drilling and artificial reefs to acoustic surveillance.
