Blanchard, a former textile designer, layers, sews and assembles collected fabrics, clothing and remnants into new forms. The show brings together three ongoing series: Trees, figure-like sculptures each named after someone in her life; Mending Joy, wall-spanning fabric collages that suggest landscapes; and Vessels, rounded forms made from clothing and Mylar balloons. Together they move between forms that grow, sprawl and contain.
