## Exhibitions

### Lizzie Gill: *Carousel*

Sep 9 – Oct 24, 2026 · on view

New paintings of stoneware vessels and horses in acrylic, image transfer and marble dust, plus a plaster Wonder Horse sculpture.

Gill’s still lifes of caddies, urns, demitasses and animal figurines combine illusionistic acrylic, photographic image transfers and marble dust emulsion piped on like icing, in cool Wedgwood blues. Riders and mounts appear on the vessels’ surfaces, and some interiors open onto moonscapes and astrological friezes.

In one of her first sculptures, a plaster replica of a 1950s Wonder Horse is broken into fragments spread across the gallery, echoing museum cast courts. The show is her second solo presentation with the gallery.

### Paloma Izquierdo: *carrier*

Sep 9 – Oct 24, 2026 · on view

A site-specific installation reviving New York’s pneumatic tube system, with glass canisters circulating through the gallery.

Izquierdo builds a replica of a pneumatic tube network in the gallery, drawing on the tubes that once carried mail across New York and on the improvised infrastructures she knew growing up between the US and Cuba. Glass canisters travel from one side of the room to the other.

Instead of letters, each canister holds residues of daily life, traces of habits and movements that could be pieced together. It is her first solo presentation with the gallery, with a text by curator Camila Palomino.

### sonia louise davis: *a promise, a portal, possibility*

Oct 30 – Dec 5, 2026 · coming up

Eight new tufted soft paintings, a steel sculptural instrument, a neon and hand-drawn wall text on improvisation.

davis’s second solo show with the gallery fills the ground level with new work about the tenor and limits of improvisation. The tufted paintings are made from the reverse side, so the whole only appears once the work is turned around, and she treats drawing as a kind of dancing and song.

The works were made in her Manhattan studio and at Stoneleaf Retreat, an artist residency in upstate New York. The writer Sharifa Rhodes-Pitts, in dialogue with davis for months beforehand, contributed a text for the show.

### SR Lejeune: *Hold me up*

Oct 30 – Dec 5, 2026 · coming up

Machined aluminum and steel sculptures of three scissor gates and a sidewalk-style grate, altered so they no longer work as intended.

Lejeune builds sculptures by hand from light industrial machining processes such as tapping and milling, then bends and folds the parts so they lose reproducible function. Here they take the forms of a polished aluminum grate holding small cast pewter gum pieces, and a triptych of retractable scissor gates, one of which is altered so that expanding one part forces another to retract.

The show is Lejeune’s second solo presentation with the gallery, with a text by Zoey Kira Lubitz.
