# Arturo Kameya: *Clavo torcido no teme martillo / A bent nail fears no hammer* Nov 6, 2026 – Jan 9, 2027 · coming up New paintings drawing on childhood memories and popular myths from 1990s suburban Lima. Kameya builds his paintings from childhood memories of 1990s Lima, family traditions and popular culture, rendering them in soft, muted pastels and grayish tones that feel at once familiar and strange, like mementos of a vanished era. His wider practice spans acrylic, plaster, film and printmaking, often combined into large installations tracing hidden links between disparate historical moments. The show follows his 2024 Wolvecampprijs win and a recent group presentation at the Carnegie International in Pittsburgh.
