# *Transaction* Two-person exhibition · Oct 16 – Nov 15, 2026 · coming up · Back Joshua Abelow and Katya Kirilloff - Fri, Oct 16, 2026: Opening reception, 6–8 pm Paintings by Joshua Abelow and a sculpture by Katya Kirilloff, a sad unicorn atop a table of wrapped paintings. Presented by Gene’s Dispensary of Los Angeles in the back gallery, the show pairs Joshua Abelow’s prolific painting practice with Katya Kirilloff’s sculpture. According to the accompanying text, a sad unicorn will sit atop dozens of Abelow’s paintings, tightly wrapped so that they serve as table legs. Keith J. Varadi’s essay frames the exchange as a worthwhile, balanced transaction, arguing for collaboration and support over quid pro quo. Kirilloff has a solo show at Les-Bains Douches in Alençon, France, in November 2026.
