# *Octopus & Others: Acts of Collaboration & Poetics* Group exhibition · Aug 6 – Nov 15, 2026 · on view Panels from Papo Colo’s Octopus, a 1982 accordion book in plywood made with New York poets and artists, alongside other works that rethink the book. In 1982 Papo Colo staged Octopus: An Act of Sculpture in the museum’s courtyard, a folding outdoor book of eight-by-four-foot plywood panels whose pages were made on site by poets and artists he invited, among them Pedro Pietri, Vito Acconci and Tehching Hsieh. Panels Colo recently gave to the museum are shown for the first time in more than forty years. Collection works, archival material and loans by artists and poets of several generations show the book turned to social, political and environmental ends. Zuna Maza is the curator.
