Two days of artworks donated to a benefit auction for restoring the Coltrane Home, with live music and film screenings.
Artists have donated paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and sculptures to an online auction (October 16–30) that supports the restoration of the house where John Coltrane wrote A Love Supreme and Alice Coltrane made her Impulse! albums. The gallery shows the works in person for two days.
The opening night adds a performance by Michelle Coltrane and Olivia Tilley and screenings of Alice Coltrane’s Eternity’s Pillar series. Donors include Katherine Bradford, Joe Bradley, Julie Mehretu and Jamal Cyrus.
