# *Vandals to Vanguard* Sep 11 – Oct 24, 2026 · on view - Fri, Oct 16, 2026: Fashion show and artist talk, 6–9 pm - Sat, Oct 24, 2026: Closing reception, time to be announced Work by seven New York women who began in 1990s and 2000s graffiti and now work across the arts, with portraits of the artists. Curated by the artist KayLove, the show follows women who started as taggers, bombers and piecers and went on to careers as glassblowers, textile artists, photographers, fashion designers, muralists, graphic designers and store owners. It presents that growth as an extension of graffiti culture, not a break from it. Each artist adds a short testimonial about her ties to graffiti and her creative path. Portraits of the artists by Bronx photographer Abigail Montes, a member of Seis del Sur, are also on view.
