Ceidra Moon Murphy
A new commission by Ceidra Moon Murphy on the British government’s use of temporary Nightingale Courts.
Murphy’s work looks at how history, place and the body are recorded and stored, and at the technologies of power in that process, often beginning from an object, a law or a space. For Peer she is making a new body of work on the Nightingale Courts, the temporary legal spaces the British government has used.
Peer becomes a forum of potential judgement, sentencing and performance. It is the London-based artist’s first solo exhibition in a UK public art organisation.
