### *Ha Chong-Hyun*

Sep 24 – Nov 7, 2026 · on view

A survey of six decades of abstract paintings by the Seoul-based artist, from folded canvases to burned and wired surfaces.

The show surveys Ha’s experiments with painting as an object, beginning with an early folded and rippled canvas from the late 1960s that asks where a picture’s surface and support begin and end.

In the 1970s he burned thick impasto surfaces and attached coiled springs or barbed wire, responding to South Korea’s martial law and military rule and to the scarcity of materials. Ha was born in 1935.

### Christopher Le Brun: *The Mind's Weather*

Nov 19, 2026 – Feb 13, 2027 · coming up

New abstract paintings built from modular compositions, from single canvases to triptychs and large multi-part ensembles.

Le Brun’s recent paintings work with modular structures, running from single canvases to intricately organised groups, including triptychs and monumental multi-part works. They test the formal limits of abstract painting.

His handling of touch and colour draws on art history and on visual, musical and literary sources.

### *Dana Awartani*

Nov 19, 2026 – Feb 13, 2027 · coming up

A new exhibition of craft-based works by Dana Awartani, in which darned holes stand for places damaged or destroyed.

Awartani works with traditional art-making techniques to address cultural sustainability and the destruction of monuments around the world. She darns holes in her works, treating the punctures as stand-ins for places violated in war, colonialism or terrorism.

The mending also recalls older traditions of repairing and revering objects, favouring repair over replacement. The show follows her presentation for Saudi Arabia at the 2026 Venice Biennale.
