# *Earshot Library-in-Residence* Oct 8, 2026 – Jun 28, 2027 · on view, just opened Earshot A nine-month residency of multichannel field recordings and listening stations on sound as evidence, by Earshot. Earshot, the non-profit founded by Lawrence Abu Hamdan to use sound in defence of human and environmental rights, turns the Iqra library into a space of sonic investigation. A continuous multichannel piece, From the Field, draws on eco-acoustic recordings of noise pollution and ecological damage. Three listening stations cover audio ballistic analysis of weapons and strikes, detection of AI-generated voices, and techniques for profiling sounds and gathering earwitness testimony.
