This is Beau Roberts’s first solo exhibition. His immersive oil paintings start from the spaces, people and objects closest to him, and use them as a framework to move beyond literal description. Rather than record what he sees, he tries to pin down his emotional and sensory response to a subject, using bright colour and shifting forms to convey mood and energy.
