Beau RobertsThat Feeling

New oil paintings in vivid colour and shifting forms, drawn from the artist’s emotional responses to familiar places, people and objects.

This is Beau Roberts’s first solo exhibition. His immersive oil paintings start from the spaces, people and objects closest to him, and use them as a framework to move beyond literal description.

Rather than record what he sees, he tries to pin down his emotional and sensory response to a subject, using bright colour and shifting forms to convey mood and energy.
