# Emalie Bingham: *Devotion Myths\** Nov 12 – Dec 12, 2026 · coming up New abstract paintings built from a personal alphabet of repeated, collaged and re-drawn marks. Bingham, a South African artist now based in Bristol, collects and deconstructs marks, including drawn objects that matter to her, collage offcuts and stray brushstrokes, and recombines them as repeating symbols. Each mark is open to interpretation, so the canvases ask to be read imaginatively. The designs raise questions of framing, visibility, belonging and perception. It is her first solo exhibition with the gallery, which included her in a 2020 group show.
