Flower arrangements set in surveillance-camera housings used as vases, shown at the Paraíso Latin American art fair.
Marcellier repurposes the weatherproof housing of a surveillance camera as an empty vessel and fills it with flowers. The gesture mixes grief and utopian hope, bringing beauty to a place built for watching, and she also draws flowers on the visor’s screen.
Flowers have run through her work since she threw roses onto her grandfather’s grave. The presentation is part of the Paraíso art fair and comes with a first-person text by the artist.
