# June Edmonds: *Inheritance* Sep 12 – Oct 24, 2026 · on view New paintings in June Edmonds’s Flag series, their stripes broken by murky stains, with small draped flag works about Black childhood. Edmonds’s fourth solo show with the gallery centers on five large Inheritance paintings in acrylic on linen: Standing Flag compositions built from many shades of brown in thick, tallied brushstrokes, each interrupted by a dark stain that stands for unresolved history. Smaller Draped Flag works hang alongside, loose canvases cinched at the middle so they resemble children’s clothes or hoodies, made in memory of young victims of racial violence such as Emmett Till, Tamir Rice and Trayvon Martin.
